The SPINNE Walzenmühle in Oelde is distinguished by 60 years' worth of competence in cereal grains processing; today, SPINNE Walzenmühle is Germany's largest manufacturer of pigeon food for carrier pigeons and pedigreed pigeons. Over the years, a good many ideas pertaining to pigeon food have been put into action, always in direct contact with pigeon breeders. Development
Founded by Mr. Adolf Spinne as a family operation, his son-in-law Peter Rensinghoff managed the company for nearly 40 years. Today the affairs of the company are managed by Mr. Martin Hetzke. With the greatest level of commitment, our employees have brought SPINNE to the top in Germany. The continuous advancement of the operation has been made on the basis of painstaking and far-sighted planning. Today, 2,500 sqm of production and storage space are available. 3,000 tons of raw and processed materials can be stored and up to 120 tons of food produced each day. All in all, more than 450 dealers are supplied across the Federal Republic of Germany, and the transport is carried out almost entirely in the company's own vehicles.

In pigeon sporting, the successful SPINNE foods have emerged as a byword for quality. This is the result of a consistent notion of quality - a notion which is the governing maxim for all areas, from purchasing of raw materials to the delivery of the finished end product. All of the necessary measures are taken to do justice to the high demands of modern pigeon-keeping. SPINNE was the first to employ naturally dried "Cribs" corn in pigeon food.
The highest premium is placed on the painstaking purification of all incoming raw materials. This takes place by means of the most modern, electronically controlled equipment in several stages - among other things, air is utilised a great deal. This guarantees, above all, the elimination of undesired dust particles. But SPINNE takes into account the fact that, due to all of the movements of the product (loading, transport, etc.) and the resulting friction between the kernels, so-called erosion can occur. As a part of the natural products, this erosion is completely innocuous and a mark of the organic quality of SPINNE products. SPINNE consistently refrains from using synthetic auxiliary materials and bonding agents. SPINNE provides a guarantee for natural food.

New blends are first tested in a practical setting; only if they are successful there are they incorporated into the program. Nutritionists and feeding experts are consulted during the testing phase. For the safety of the breeder and as an important contribution to quality assurance, SPINNE routinely has all of the blends tested by neutral, state-authorised institutes.
